Board Member Profile: Rubay Tessema

Rubay Tessema

Rubay is currently a Program Officer in the Engagement and Success team within the University Experience portfolio of The Australian National University. His primary responsibilities are co-ordinating the ANU Student Research Conference, the university wide academic and social enrichment program, Learning Communities and, the transitional and orientation module for new ANU students.

Starting off as a Management Cadet within ANU, Rubay has experience working across various areas in the University including at the Vice-Chancellors Office and the Corporate Governance and Risk Team. He has experience in project delivery, working across key projects in different business units and ISO9001 quality management systems.

He holds a Bachelors of Economics, various project management qualifications and is currently completing the ANU Masters of International and Development Economics. In addition to professional aspirations in strategic management, and intellectual pursuits in Economics, Rubay has personal interests in sports, business and development issues.
