Ian Miller

I have been a Mens Hockey club member for 50 years having started as a 1st year student in 1974. I have contributed extensively as past club President, Secretary and Competition Secretary and am currently Vice President supporting a new generation of club administrators. I was a past member of Hockey ACT council during the early 1980s and a past ANU Sport Board member for a number of years from 1980. I have extensive experience in governing and managing sporting clubs which would be valuable in a role on the ANU Sport board. I am a life member of the Men's Hockey club playing 892 games to date. I have a keen interest in promoting good governance of sporting clubs and organisations and have been actively involved with ANU Sport throughout my time at ANU. I am keen to continue supporting the development of sport on campus including building and maintaining appropriate facilities for all sports. I worked in the IT industry for 45 years and have experience in the acquisition and application of technology to business and in dealing with government on financials and contracts. I am now retired from full time work and have bandwidth to undertake the role.
