ANU Sport is delighted to announce that Kathleen (Kitty) McCaskie has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer.

Since the beginning of this year, the ANU Sport Board has been in discussion regarding CEO succession, following the news that incumbent CEO, Katrina O’Mahony would be departing in July.  After a robust process, with over 60 applicants and two rounds of interviews, the selection panel, including representatives from ANU, ANU Sport and an external HR consultant made their recommendation to the Board.  This was formally endorsed at the most recent board meeting and confirmed at the annual general meeting on Wednesday 22 May.

Kitty’s background in sports administration, working for Hockey Australia, 2018 Commonwealth Games and most recently as Acting CEO, means she is exceptionally well placed to lead the association into the future.  Kitty has a deep understanding of ANU Sport’s operations, has developed excellent relationships with key stakeholders, and been heavily involvement in the development of ANU Sport’s strategic priorities.  She is a passionate and dedicated leader and the organisation will undoubtedly go from strength to strength under her guardianship.

Kitty will formally commence the role of CEO on Monday 22 July.
