Kyle is a current ANU student who has recently completed his Bachelor of Laws and is currently completing his final semester of a Bachelor of International Relations. ANU Sport's activities have formed an important part of Kyle's life since moving to Canberra for study in 2014 primarily through participation, coaching, and facilitation of Interhall Sport, and as part of the Uni-Norths Rugby Union club since 2017.
Kyle has also engaged in a number of volunteer roles at ANU, most notably as Vice-President of the Civic2Surf Committee in 2016. Growing up in Moss Vale NSW, sport was an integral part of Kyle's upbringing and Kyle has fond memories of filling his spare time playing anything he could, including rugby, cricket, touch, soccer, and swimming. Kyle has actively served as a Director on the ANU Sport & Recreation Association Board (formerly Council) since 2018 and has sat on the SSAF and ANU Blues Awards working groups.
In Kyle’s time on the Board he has developed governance experience as ANU Sport has successfully navigated through the transition to a new Constitution, as well as through the challenges of COVID-19. Kyle hopes to contribute to ANU Sport's goals of ensuring that sport and recreation is inclusive and accessible to both ANU students and the broader ANU community. He firmly believes that sport and recreation is an important vehicle for mental, social and physical wellbeing, and that ANU Sport has a key role to play in promoting a balanced lifestyle.
