The 1st of October officially marked the start of Mental Health Month. This is an annual event celebrated all around the world to:
- Raise community awareness and understanding of mental illness
- Reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with mental illness
- Promote positive mental health and well-being.
ANU Sport for the entire month of October this year will help raise awareness for Mental Health Month by promoting how sport, fitness and recreation can assist with an individual’s mental health prospects in a positive way.
