2026 ANU Sport Board Elections

At the closing of the nomination period for the 2026 ANU Sport Board, five (5) nominations were received for the three general board member positions available. In accordance with clause 3.4 of the Electoral Regulations, “pursuant to clause 19.8 of the Constitution, if the number of eligible nominations received is greater than the number of positions on the Board to be filled by election, a secret ballot to elect the number of positions on the Board must be held prior to the annual general meeting in accordance with these Regulations, and ratified at the annual general meeting”.

An election was called in accordance with the Electoral Regulations, with voting open at 9am on Monday 4 May and closing at 5pm Wednesday 6 May. The poll was held in accordance with the Electoral Regulations.

At the conclusion of the polling period, the votes were counted in accordance with the Electoral Regulations. The successful candidates receiving the highest number of votes were:

Thomas Carlisle

Charlotte FitzSimons

As Returning Officer, I declare that I am satisfied that the election process was conducted in a fair and proper manner. I recommend that the results are ratified by members at the AGM.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Members of the ANU Sport and Recreation Association will be conducted as per the details below:

Date:            Wednesday 25 May 2025

Location:     Yukeembruk Village Hall

Time:           Commencing at 6pm, doors open at 5:30pm

The Agenda and Reports will be published on the ANU Sport Website on Monday 11 May. Pease refer to the ANU Sport constitution, clause 27.5 - 27.7 for Business to be attended at the AGM.
