Election Results and Notice of AGM

RESULTS FROM ELECTION

At the closing of the nomination period for the 2025 ANU Sport Board, eight (8) nominations were received for the three general board member positions available. In accordance with clause 3.4 of the Electoral regulations, “pursuant to clause 19.8 of the Constitution, if the number of eligible nominations received is greater than the number of positions on the Board to be filled by election, a secret ballot to elect the number of positions on the Board must be held prior to the annual general meeting in accordance with these Regulations, and ratified at the annual general meeting”.

An election was called in accordance with the Electoral Regulations, with voting open at 9am on Tuesday 6 May and closing at 5pm on Thursday 8 May. The poll was held in accordance with Part 2 of the Electoral Regulations.

At the conclusion of the polling period, the votes were counted in accordance with clause 13 of the Electoral Regulations. The successful candidates receiving the highest number of votes were:

·        Meilani Whittle (nee Salale)

·        Michael Blacksell

·        Ian Moes

As Returning Officer, I declare that I am satisfied that the election process was conducted in a fair and proper manner. I recommend that the results are accepted by members at the AGM.
