Constitution Review

A Special General Meeting was held on Thursday 27 March for the membership to vote on the passing a special resolution to adopt the new constitution.

The resolution did not pass and as it did not meet the 75% majority of those in attendance, with the votes counted as 56 Yes, 42 No.

ANU Sport is committed to update our constitution to bring it in line with current legislation and better practice within the sector. This will enable us to better deliver on our purpose to facilitate sport, recreation and well-being opportunities for the ANU community.

We would like to engage further with you, our members, to gain your valued feedback on the proposed changes. In particular, we are keen to hear:

  • what you like about the proposed changes?
  • whether you have any concerns about the proposed changes?

This will enable ANU Sport to consider and address your feedback before we present a future version of the constitution for approval.
