Yoga and Pilates

YOGA

Suitable for novice and returning students alike, ANU Sport's Yoga classes will take you through the fundamentals of Yoga practice. The class content is structured to counter the stresses that each new season places on our minds and bodies. The classes are designed to improve your knowledge in relation to your body, and to facilitate a positive structured approach to your training that compliments your lifestyle: 

 

Class structure:

  • Warm ups for muscles and joints
  • Core strength and flexibility training
  • Classic Yoga asanas such as: twists; side, back and forward bends, balance and inverted poses
  • Pranayama (breathing) practices
  • Finishing with relaxation

Run by qualified Yoga instructors, our 1 hour Yoga classes are suitable for all levels of experience. Mats are provided for your convenience. Limited spaces - we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before the class starts to secure a spot.

Tickets can be purchased from ANU Sport Reception. Partipants are able to pay per visit:

  • ANU Sport Member - $10

PILATES

Pilates lengthens and stretches all the major muscle groups in the body in a balanced fashion. Pilates improves flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness.

5:30PM PILATES

All levels are welcome and mats are provided. Limited spaces - we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before the class starts to secure a spot.
