About the program

If you are a coach, a teacher or are involved in a sporting club, "sporting parents" - i.e. the parents of children who play or compete in sport - play a significant role in what you do everyday.

Sporting parents can be a powerful force within any sporting organisation and it is essential they are integrated and engaged with the programs their children are undertaking.

Increasingly, coaches are engaging with sporting parents as "partners" - as allies in the process of helping children realise their potential.
This "Performance Partnership" - coach, parent and athlete - can be a highly effective team: one which can provide the athlete with the right environment to achieve their sporting goals and the opportunity to develop as an individual.

However, like all partnerships, this relationship needs to be established and maintained by all partners clearly understanding their roles and their responsibilities and at all times remaining focused on the one thing that really matters: the well-being of the athlete.
