Coaching Teenagers Forum

Sport and Recreation Services I Economic Development I ACT Government will be conducting a Coaching Teenagers Forum.

This forum is relevant to development officers, community club coaches, high performance/representative coaches and to teachers. 

 

Three highly experienced presenters will be delivering the forum:

Paul Andrews - a career long Secondary PE teacher will be sharing his experiences and providing strategies on coaching the less interested and unmotivated teenager.

Pat McCann - current ACT Academy of Sport Head Football Coach will share his practical experiences and strategies on how to maintain motivation and challenge athletes whilst avoiding boredom/burnout.

Sleiman Abou-Hamdan - a clinical psychologist currently working with ACTAS will share aspects of youth mental health and psychological development – looking out for the signs of anxiety, depression, eating disorders and the risk of burning out.
