The ANU Badminton Club is a social club that caters for students from a wide variety of backgrounds, and aims to foster, promote and develop the sport on a social and competitive level.

The ANU Badminton Club is a social club that caters to students from a wide variety of backgrounds and aims to foster, promote and develop the sport on a social and competitive level. The club has existed since the 1970s and hosts regular sessions on Saturdays (2-5pm) and Wednesdays (7-10pm) for members to meet up and play. Badminton is a great way to socialise, meet new people and get fit.
The club provides shuttles during regular sessions and loans equipment such as racquets to those who are just beginning to play. Free coaching at the end of sessions is also an option for players who want to improve their skills or play for the club competitively.
Club members have the opportunity to:
- Attend our social Saturday playing sessions (2-5pm, 12 Courts), which include optional coaching from 4-5pm (coaching is only during the university semester)
- Attend our new social Wednesday playing sessions (7-10pm, 8 Courts)
- Play in local competitions - ACT Open, ACT Interclub Challenge, ANU Closed
- Represent ANU at UniSport Nationals
- Participate in Intervarsity Competitions
- Attend club social events

Membership Sign-Up Cost/Details
To play at the club all members must have a membership (pay on this site with VISA/MasterCard). There is also a session fee for each session you attend (pay on the day in via cash/bank transfer/EFTPOS).
Full-year means from the date of purchase till 31st Dec 2024 (i.e. it is for the 2024year, not 1 year from when you signed up).
Semester means roughly the ANU Semester. Semester 1 is Jan-Jun, Semester 2 is Jul-Dec (again it is from when you sign up till the end of that semester period).

Due to Changes in ANU Sport policies, we are unable to offer half-yearly memberships to associate members.

To get membership click Join or Renew on the top of this page, select ANU Sport Membership 2024 (All Members), choose the right option for you (Student or Associate), and then select the correct ANU Badminton Club Membership (Student or Associate).
