ANU Netball Club is a fun and exciting way to get exercise, meet people from all walks of ANU life and to have a great time in a friendly competition. ANU Netball Club will run two competitions; an internal competition played at ANU Sport a on Tuesday nights, and an external competition played at the ACT Netball Centre in Lyneham. While the internal competition is currently just a ladies competition, we have mixed teams playing in our external competition. The Netball Club, both female and mixed, compete annually at both the Eastern & Australian University Games.
• Ladies Internal competition (social)- played at the ANU Gym on Tuesday nights with teams of ANU Netball Club Members
• Internal Mixed Competition (social)- played at the ANU Gym on Monday nights
• External Ladies Competition (competitive)- ANU teams play at the ACT Netball Centre in Lyneham on Monday Nights against wider Canberra teams (Trials held early in first term).
The club also offers two huge social events through the year; our annual pub crawl (the legendary Net-Crawl) and our annual ball (the questionably classier Net-Ball) with club members receiving ticket discounts. Club membership is open to all members of the SRA. All students at the ANU are automatically SRA members, and membership of the SRA is open to graduates of any university, ANU staff members and the general community.
Trials for Ladies team are held early in term 1. Registrations for the other competitions will be variably through first term also, check website for further details.
