Tim re-joins the ANU Sport Council this year, having served previously in 2017 and 2018. He has been an ANU Sport member for over 30 years, since his student days which saw him graduate with an honours degrees in Law and Physical Chemistry. Tim was President of ANU Men's Hockey Club from 2006 - 2017 and is currently one of its Vice-Presidents as well as being a member of the Tennis Club.
Tim has lived in Canberra for most of his life and has two teenage children who attend local public high schools. He currently works as a Principal Legal Officer in the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources, where his focus is mainly on Climate and Energy issues. Prior to this Tim worked as a government lawyer in a range of Commonwealth Departments and in private practice.
He is deeply passionate about the role of sport and physical activity in creating a vibrant campus, enriching the student experience and contributing to the broader community. He is looking forward to working with his fellow Council members and the executive as they strive to maintain ANU Sport's record of providing excellent services to the university and the City.
